UK Basketball: More Recruiting Info

Coach Gillispie could sign 4 or 5 recruits in 08, not just 3. Something with Carter or Porter(probably both to allow for 09 as well) will happen. Academic scholarship, walk-on, or transfer. The only way Landesberg ends up at UK is if Miller doesn't commit to UK soon, which will happen. Miller is UK's to lose and everyone knows it. Look for a commitment from Miller in the next couple to three weeks. For sure before the end of Aug.

Clarke's recruitment is getting weird. Everything I have heard is that he should already be commited to UK, but he isn't. I am afraid that he and Warren are for sure going to be a tag team duo in college. If this is the case Clarke doesn't end up at UK. If Clarke goes somewhere other than Warren it will be UK. But my gut tells me both end up at Kansas and maybe Oklahoma. But I am still getting info that Clarke will end up at UK. I just fill that if he was going to commit to UK he would have already done so.

From what I have heard in the last week or so I believe UK's class will be finished by the end of Aug. I believe it will look something like this:

  • Liggins - commited
  • Miller - UK's to lose at this point
  • Zeller - but could very well end up being Czyz or Green. Wouldn't surprise me if its any of the 3. I have been told Zeller probably pulls the trigger first.
The fourth ride will be a kid under the radar for UK.When he commits all will be shocked because UK hasn't been mentioned as much with this player. I can't tell who it is just yet but there is a mystery guy that alot of people haven't heard about yet. Some of the other guru's may know whom I'm speaking of.

There could also be a fifth ride but I doubt it. All of UK's recruits will be top 50 for sure and probably top 30. I can see UK's class being in the top 5 and maybe top 3. Zeller will be top 10 or 15. Liggins and Miller will be top 25. And the mystery recruit will probably be top 50 but could be top 30. Either way it goes UK's class will be rockin and I can't wait.
